In addition to the current Nitrox 1.3.0, its founder Uri Herrere has released a new Point version - Nitrox 1.3.1. The latest v1.3.1 comes with many software updates, bug fixes, performance improvements and new hardware support.
Nitrox is one of the unique Linux distributions, not only for its beautiful KDE Plasma desktop, but also for package managers such as APT and DPKG, for using the portable universal application format, AppMessage. So, let’s take a look at what Nitrox 1.3.1 has to offer.
Nitrox 1.3.1: What's New?
Starting with the core component, Nitrox upgraded its Linux kernel from the previous version 5.6.0-1017 to the newest 5.6.0-1020, bringing new bugs and security improvements.
Among other components, v1.3.1 prominently added visual changes. For example, it updated KDE Plasma Desktop to version 5.19.4, KDE Framework to version 5.72.0, and KDE applications to version 20.04.03.

Later, it added a touch of GTK theme similar to the quantum theme and the plasma color scheme. Additionally, Nitrox 1.3.1 now includes an updated Love Icon theme, including wallpaper.
Similar to previous releases, v1.3.1 also added more wallpapers for default selection and replaced some files with compressed images for better quality.
Not only images, it replaces Calamares Installer's user interface with its QML port module, Calamares-QML. In addition, Nitrox has solved the problem with environmental variables, which can cause problems when changing application styles.
Finally, if you now want to give up Nitrox 1.3.1, the ISO images are available for download from here. The new ISO now uses the LZ4 lossless data compression algorithm to provide faster installation time.
