Top 24 Programming Languages for Web Development with Python and More
Each year, like most other organizations and analyst organizations, IEEE Spectrum produces a list of "top" programming languages, ranging from eight metrics (Twitter, stock overflow and more) to no less than 11 metrics. It allows you to see which languages are most popular for web, mobile and embedded development.
With all of this in mind, it is worth looking at the top languages of the IEEE spectrum for web development. As you might expect, the most popular programming languages in the world, including Python, Java and JavaScript, top the list. Take a look:
A word about the performance of IEEE: the company pulls over 300 programming languages from GitHub, and then turns to Google to see which languages give the most search results. It makes a list of 52 languages. From there, the language gains relative popularity using 11 metrics, including data from IEEE's own job site and the Explore digital library, as well as Twitter, GitHub and stock overflow.
Can you take the problem that way? Absolutely; Each programming-language ranking has its own drawbacks and weaknesses. For example, critics of the TIOBE index (monthly update) argue that it is a better reflection of the "buzz" than the actual use of a language, as it relies on resources such as YouTube and Wikipedia.
However, such lists can be used to determine which programming languages are attracting the most time and attention from most developers - meaning they will be in use for some time to come (at least super-popular like Python and Java; not much. Tell us about Coffeescript's disappointing IEEE rating). If you want to become a web developer, it is important to know.
Here's another interesting thing to note: Kotlin has been around longer than web-centric programming languages like Perl (the infamous "Swiss Army Chainsaw" web development). Although you can think of Kotlin primarily as a language for Android application development, it is actually very versatile, used for everything from backend / server work to SDK / libraries. Will Java climb the ranks that are seriously endangered? This is a good question, but given Java's main location, the chances of such an event happening are considerable.

People with some experience can focus on writing code fast (functions, lists and more), debugging and other advanced skills.
