BENGALURU: Gurgaon-based Edtech has sought to hire 20-25 people to strengthen its leadership team during various tasks to ride the growth wave in the online learning space amid the Great Learning Kovid-19 crisis.

Karthik Gopalan, Director of People Operations at Great Learning, said the company is scouting candidates to fill the roles of head of products, chief engineer and senior software engineer. “We are not limiting our search in India and connecting with talents from all over the world,” he said that. "We see the best professionals in countries like the US and the UK, and if they are onboard, it will be the permanent job for them from home."

Gopalan said the, "In this pandemic situation, the feeling around of learning is very strong as people have given priority to higher skills even when they are at home." "Our goal is to move things around, build an impressive team for existing and new business avenues and hire professionals to help us move on to the next class of development."

Offering 30 courses in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and digital marketing, FY15 ended with a revenue of Rs 325 crore. Gopalan said the learning base of the Great Learning Academy and the Great Learning Corporate Academy has increased fivefold since its inception.

Great Learning hopes to have 1,000 or more by the end of this year. This year it employs over 150 entry and mid-level professionals and the current strength is 650.
